Someone Like Adele by Caroline Sanderson

I bought this book at a car boot sale last year and started reading it occasionally. Only because Adele is one if my favourite singer. I listen to her songs a lot, especially from the album 21.

It's actually a compilation of interviews and media coverage turned into a beautifully written biography.

Caroline writes about Adele's earlier years as a small girl and then as a young artist, until she was found by Nick Hugget from XL Recording.

What interests me most about this book is the background of her songs. How they came about and what inspired her to write them. Yes, she wrote most of her famous songs and most of the award winning songs were written when she was heartbroken.

Despite the fact that she swears a lot, Adele is a down-to-earth person, according to this book. I tend to think so, too. I think it's only because she knows her WHY and keeps reminding herself of it.

Unless you are a die-hard fan of Adele, I'd recommend this book as an occasional read : ðŸŒŸðŸŒŸðŸŒŸ.
